B-DOUBLE CRASH BLOCKS HIGHWAY FOR FIVE HOURS

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was forced to land on the Pacific Highway overnight, after a B-double truck jackknifed at Tabbimoble.

At around 3am, the truck carrying a load of concrete struck a drain and lost control causing traffic jams on the northbound lanes for five hours.

The 32 year old male driver suffered shock and was airlifted to Lismore Base Hospital.

Police say fatigue may have been a factor in the crash
