There’s more good news for the Jets, with fullback Daniel Georgievski declaring he’s ready to return from a hamstring injury against Sydney on Saturday.
The coach has been happy with Jason Hoffman’s effort in his absence.
“That gives me the opportunity to make them all compete for a position and that’s the ideal situation, also it gives you good strength off the bench.”
Merrick is keen to test his league-leading squad against the A-League champions, but knows Sydney will be a bigger test than Adelaide.
“We did enough in second half and end of first half to get a result, and it’s about results during the season but if we performing like that we’re not going to win many games.”
