The close knit community of Casino gathered together yesterday, to pay tribute to murdered five-year-old Kyla Rogers.
Flowers were laid and balloons released to honour her brief life.
“It’s affected Casino in many ways just because a lot of the residents can’t believe this happened in or near our town.”
The bodies of five-year-old Kyla and her father were discovered just outside of Casino on Monday evening, tragically concluding a nationwide manhunt which began when Kyla’s mother and a friend were found dead in a Gold Coast unit.
Those who attended signed a condolence book, which will be given to the young girl’s family.
