A dry cleaner left his shop straight after the quake, but before running to save himself, ran back into the shop to turn his irons off (In Japan, if a person is found to have caused a substantial fire, he is held accountable), then he jumped into his small truck and as he drove as fast as he could, in his rear view mirror he could see the giant wave following him and catching up very fast. He made it to safety.
