TRAILER DONATED TO HORSE RESCUE ANGELS

The future’s a little brighter for horses affected by the south-east Queensland floods.
Fencing and feed were washed away in the floodwaters, while other horses were desperately in need of care after becoming stuck in fences.
Ballina’s Donine Lander was so moved by the animals’ plight, she not only donated her own horse trailer, but got local businesses to help renovate it.
“I was very pleasantly surprised by the generosity that I received and people willing to jump on board and help us get the float looking beautiful again.”
Animal welfare group Charlie’s Angels, who rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses, say they’re grateful for the donation.
“So to have our own float it just gives us that much more freedom to do what we can do when we need to do it.”
