Summer is drawing to a close for many beachgoers and that mightn’t be such a bad thing when you get a look at what they’ve been sharing the waves with.
Senior chopper pilot with Newcastle’s Heliservices, Michael Earp shot these pictures of a 4.5 metre Great White looking very much at home, close to shore at Hawks Nest yesterday.
The shark was spotted about 200 metres south of the surf club and didn’t seem phased by the efforts of a boat crew to scare it away.
