McDonald’s has failed in its bid to establish a fourth outlet in Port Macquarie.
The fast food giant lodged an appeal with the Land and Environment Court last year, after its Greenmeadows proposal was knocked back twice by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
The court dismissed the appeal this morning, a decision council administrator Garry Payne has labelled a commonsense planning outcome.
The proposed development sparked a vocal protest which resulted in thousands of objections being lodged.
