Tamworth, Kootingal and Moonbi will move to level three water restrictions on Saturday with Chaffey Dam dropping to just 37 per cent capacity.
It means residents will only be allowed to water their lawns with hoses for 15 minutes, between 5 and 7pm.
“At the moment Chaffey Dam’s dropping about 0.1 per cent at the moment per day and the next level of water restrictions, level four, come into effect at 35 per cent.”
Without much needed rainfall, council expects to move up another level in four weeks.
