The Westpac Rescue Helicopter today winched a seriously ill passenger off a cruise ship, 50 kilometres off the Mid-North Coast
The helicopter rendezvoused with the Pacific Jewell, after a 65-year-old male passenger developed an accute case of appendicitis.
The ship was enroute from Sydney to Brisbane.
The patient was taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital.

The ship is the Pacific Pearl. Not the Pacific Jewell.
Definately Pacific Jewel (but with one “L”). The Westpac crew do an amazing job.
