A knife wielding bandit is on the run after robbing the Caltex Service station at Lennox Head early yesterday morning.
Police say at about 6.45 the thief threatened the 52-year-old female attendant, demanding cash.
” there was no physical violence but certainly the threat was there and the operator was quite scared.”
The offender was last seen fleeing the servo into a nearby park.
He’s described as being 170cm tall, was wearing a t-shirt and covered his face with a light coloured flannelette shirt.
