A 47-year-old was kept at a north coast police station for a number of hours to sober up, after allegedly being caught driving nearly seven times over the legal limit.
Police say the man was pulled over at around 7.40 last night after they saw him driving erratically along Summerland Way at Casino.
“It’s quite a surprise to see people are continuing to flout the laws in these ways and put themselves and others in danger.”
The driver was taken to Casino police station where he allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.341.
Police suspended his driver’s license and seized his car keys.
