Ballina Council is unsure how long it will take to fix a major landslip on The Coast Road at Lennox Head.
About 40 metres of the old road embankment fell during last weeks heavy rain, forcing the closure of one lane for safety reasons.
Traffic has since been directed with temporary traffic lights and council is asking drivers to be patient.
“the early work that we’re doing now will soon give us an idea on solutions and then we can put some timelines and dollars against those eventual solutions.”
The recent deluge is expected to cost Ballina Council around $1.1 million.
