A two-year-old boy has undergone surgery at John Hunter Children’s Hospital after being mauled by a dog.
The toddler was attacked at his grandfather’s Williamtown property, receiving cuts and a puncture wound to his head.
He’s in a stable condition.
Two dogs were collected by council rangers, and one has been put down.
