After being forced to live with poor mobile phone and internet coverage for years, Lake Cathie residents finally have a solution.
Optus has committed to expediting its plans to build a new transmission tower in the area.
The exact location of the tower will be determined following community consultation but Optus says it will be up and running before the end of next year.
