More than 600 people attended a benefit concert for a Newcastle radio personality diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
John Williams, better known as Blind Melon, was recently given 15 months to live.
The 32 year old worked at Newcastle’s NewFM for 10 years.
Concert organiser, Darren Brollo, says yesterday’s event raised $31,000 to help pay for carers and better disability access around Mr Williams’s house.
