MEDICAL RESEARCH AWARDS

A scientist who’s produced internationally significant findings on asthma, has been named HMRI’s Researcher of the Year.

Professor Paul Foster received the accolade last night at the Hunter Medical Research Institute’s annual awards.

It recognises his work in establishing an asthma research group, which has been focusing on developing better therapies.

Medical physicist, Associate Professor Peter Greer, was named Early Career Researcher for his work in radiation oncology.
