The owners of Yamba’s iconic Pacific Hotel have been given the green light to renovate.
A DA to revamp the 1934 building was approved by the Joint Regional Planning Panel this week.
The northern section of the hotel will be demolished and replaced with eight residential units and 36 hotel rooms, while a new health centre will feature a pool, spa, gym, bar and outdoor seating.
The area’s tourism industry is hoping the new look hotel will entice more visitors to the area.
