There’s breaking news in rugby league tonight, with the Knights agreeing to let forward Ben Cross leave the club and join English side, the Leeds Rhinos.
Cross only recently re-signed with Newcastle, having rejected offers to play overseas – but a new two-year offer was enough to entice him.
Newcastle says it won’t look to replace Cross, but hasn’t ruled out more recruitment before next season.
