COURT ORDERS BLUESFEST TO PAY MORE THAN $90,000 TO STALLHOLDERS

A court has ordered the organisers of Bluesfest repay more than $90,000 to eleven businesses who were due to operate at last year’s event.
The Byron Bay music festival was cancelled in 20-20 due to the pandemic.
The New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal ruling Bluesfest had no legal basis to keep stallholder fees from the cancelled event.
Bluesfest organisers is able to lodge an appeal.
