TRIPLE TREAT FOR BALLINA

It was a case of rev heads with a taste for the classic in Ballina this weekend.

More than 40 riders came to town as part of a two day rally for owners of British three cylinder 750 motorbikes made before 1975.

“There are a couple of people here that I’m aware of that actually keep the bike in the house rather than in the shed or the garage.”

The bikes were the last of their vintage, before the so called Japanese invasion spelled the end of the British motorcycle manufacturing industry.

It was the first time the event’s been held.
