Lake Macquarie Council will add its voice to a campaign against any new coal-fired power stations.
Councillors last night voted to support a Greenpeace request to add Lake Macquarie’s name to an open letter to state parliament.
Councillor Phillipa Parsons moved the motion, arguing that climate change is one of the most serious threats facing our planet.
