Coffs Harbour surfer Jayke Sharpe, is still in the running to take out the six-star rated ASP world tour event in Sri Lanka.
The 21-year-old scored the highest out of the Australians on day three.
It’s the first time Sharpe has surfed the Sri lankan break, likening it to a popular Gold Coast spot.
Alongside Sharpe is Lennox Head’s James Wood, who is through to the final 24 surfers, and Yamba’s Dan Ross, sitting in the final 16.
