SWIMMERS SHINE AT STATE SHORT COURSE

Central Coast swimmer Lachlan Staples has won gold in the 200-metres butterfly at the State Open Short Course Championships.

Rising star Sam McKeown-Patterson finished fifth in the 1500-metres freestyle, smashing the New South Wales 14-years record by over a minute, and the 14-years All Comers record by 22 seconds.

Keelan Bridge, who was fourth in the 200-metres backstroke, broke the 16-years State record by 0.1 seconds.
