Rutherford High School is in line for a long-awaited overhaul, set to be completed over the next three years.
State Education Minister Adrian Piccoli and local MP Robyn Parker made the announcement today.
The upgrade will include new classrooms, a performance workshop and improvements to the admin wing, home science kitchen and science labs.
A special learning unit, currently located off campus, which caters for students with behavioural and emotional disorders, will be integrated into the new plan.
