– Two people have been killed and three others injured in a horrific road accident on the mid north coast. Just after 5 this morning, a truck and a car collided just south of Kempsey. A 40 year-old woman and an 11 year-old girl who were in the car died at the scene, while two other passengers were injured. The truck driver was trapped in the wreckage for an hour, before being flown to hospital in a critical condition.
– A woman has died after falling from the balcony of a high rise in Surfers Paradise early this morning. Police say the woman fell 13 floors from a unit in the Avalon complex.
