Three people have been taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter hospital, two of them suffering multiple injuries after the car they were in skidded off a dirt road and crashed into a tree at Tea Gardens, north of Newcastle.
Two of the patients, both aged 17, were trapped in the car after it left Viney Creek Road.
The crash happened just after three o’clock and is thought to have involved a group of school friends.
