Drug supply charges against former Newcastle Knight, Chris Houston were adjourned at a brief hearing in Newcastle Local Court today.
His solicitor Peter Harper explained Houston was fine, but was not required in court today.
He told journalists, “The legislation allows him not to appear in cases where the matter is only for mention and he’s legally represented.”
The court was told that the brief of evidence was to be served by April 20 and the case was adjourned to May 19.
