A pedestrian was trapped under a car for about an hour this afternoon, after an elderly driver reversed onto a footpath and into a shop at Raymond Terrace.
It was a horrifying sequence of events, as those in the bookshop and in the main street, watched the drama unfold.

WELL being a employee at a local electronics shop very close by, and a witness of the whole accident, was verry scary, not to mention i was assisting the doctor that was on site, with padding and other helpful material we could find to stop the bleeding. i am verry pleased it didnt turn out in a fatailty, as there was a simular accident last year with a lady that had accidently jumped the curb and kill an 62yo man.
it could of been so much worse! i think the members of the public that assisted where required was the best thing to see, the community has been verry less involved in some parts of aussi, just go’s to show that raymond terrace stick to gether.
