There was plenty of cheering, chanting and drumming in Wauchope on Wednesday morning, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Cumberland and Wauchope inter-school visit.
More than 200 students from Wauchope High and Cumberland High School in Sydney marched through High Street, before taking part in a sporting challenge that will continue over the next two days.
Students will compete in a number of sports, with each school vying for the Parsons Memorial Shield.
The event is thought to be the oldest of its kind in the state.
