A Newcastle teenager has set a new goal, to surf every day for an entire year.
NBN News first met Ian Fletcher in September, when he reached the 100th day of his surfing challenge, raising $5,000 for the Hunter Clown Doctors.
Well, early this morning, the 16 year old headed out for surf number 200.
Each day, Ian’s been taking a photo, and they’ve been compiled into a calendar, with proceeds from its sale to go to charity.
“I’ve had a couple of accidents. I’ve had pretty bad surf. Big surf. Small surf. It’s been alright – a bit of fun.”
He hopes to raise another $5,000 by day 365.
