LABOR TO EXPEL COAST REVEREND ACCUSED OF SEX OFFENCES

The Anglican Diocese of Newcastle says it’s fully cooperated with police after Reverend Craig Munnings fronted court over alleged sex offences dating back to the 1980s.
The 54-year-old is accused of sexually and indecently assaulting a young girl at numerous locations in Woy Woy.
He was a church youth volunteer at the time.
The Diocese has refused to make any further comment and the court process is expected to continue for months.
It’s also been revealed Munnings was an active member of the New South Wales Labor Party.
Labor says it has suspended his membership and will look to expel him.
