While it is great that the weather has a summer tinge to it at the moment, what’s not so good is the summer-like flat spot in swell.
Our pictures taken at Gallows in Coffs Harbour today looked every bit summertime, the wind was a stiff northerly and the swell barely knee high.
Boardshorts, longboards and even a paddleboard were the order of the day.
Even though wetsuits were needed by some, everyone in the water seemed to be having a ball.
Shortboard riders may have to consider other options for the weekend as the small waves are predicted to prevail over the weekend.
