The Federal Government’s renewable energy targets which passed through the Senate yesterday have been generally welcomed by groups concerned over climate change.
But in New South Wales, the Greens have stepped up their campaign against government plans to build new coal fired power stations.
Greens MP John Kaye, along with Upper Hunter locals, met against the backdrop of the Bayswater Power Station, black balloons symbolic of what they claim will be a jump in carbon emissions.
