A 32 year old man is dead, after being punched in the head and falling to the ground on a popular Newcastle cafe strip in the early hours of the morning.
The man was walking with his older brother along Beaumont Street, Hamilton, at 3am when they were approached by a group of males.
A fight broke out, with the 32 year old allegedly king hit – he died later in hospital.
The group involved fled the scene, police are appealing for any witnesses.
