Hunter New England Health has been recognised for its work with mothers, babies and disease prevention at the New South Wales Aboriginal Health awards.
Minister for Health, John Della Bosca, last night announced 11 category winners.
Hunter New England picked up awards in the Strengthening Aboriginal Families and Children section, along with Excellence in the Workforce.
