PORT MACQUARIE GOLFERS TEE OFF FOR BREAST CANCER

Port Macquarie Golf Club turned pink today, for its annual Tee Off For Breast Cancer Day.

More than 130 women played a Stableford Waltz event in teams of four.

Some even donned colourful and outlandish outfits, as they battled it out for a good cause.

“There’s an 88 per-cent recovery rate from breast cancer when it’s diagnosed. So this is why we need to keep it in focus so we can make sure we all look out for ourselves,” Women Golfers President Elizabeth Fraser said.

Organisers are hoping to raise $2,000 for breast cancer research.
