POLICE FIND MISSING MAN’S CAR

There’s been a breakthrough in the search for Glen Innes farmer, George Ross, who’s been missing since Sunday.

Police, SES crews and the Westpac chopper were called to search an area near Guyra today, where it’s believed they located the 89-year-old’s car.

Mr Ross was last seen by his wife on Sunday after their vehicle became bogged on their Pinkett Road property.

He left his wife to walk the 1.5-kilometres home, planning to come back with another vehicle, however, he never returned.

Police had one confirmed sighting of Mr Ross’s vehicle on Monday, south of Glen Innes, and another two possible sightings in the Red Range and Ben Lomand area.
