The Federal Government will upgrade a notorious section of highway, south of Grafton, as part of its $2.5-billion commitment to the Pacific Highway.
Minister Anthony Albanese has announced $60-million will be spent on a seven kilometre stretch near Glenugie with work to start later this year.
A host of previously announced projects also received funding, including the Banora Point, Ballina and Buladelah bypasses.
