A police investigation is underway after the discovery of two bodies in a house at Wallsend in Newcastle.
Detectives and forensic police were called to the house in Drury Street, where the body of a woman in her 80s and a man in his 50s, believed to be the woman’s carer, were found.
Police say there are no immediate indications of how the pair died, and that the alarm had been raised by concerned neighbours, who hadn’t seen the occupants for some time.
