A fire, which destroyed part of a Port Macquarie home this morning, is not being treated as suspicious.
Fire crews were called to the Gore Street premises just after eight o’clock and managed to extinguish the blaze within minutes.
“The fire’s been contained to the living room area. The rest of the house has suffered heat and smoke damage.” said Mark McGuire from Fire and Rescue NSW.
A woman, who was inside the home at the time, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, but wasn’t taken to hospital.
At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown.
