Wind mills could soon be a feature of the New England landscape, after the State Government announced a three point plan to promote renewable energy.
In a push to create more green jobs and sustainable energy sources, five areas of New South Wales have been picked for wind power investment.
The New England Tablelands and Upper Hunter have been identified as regions with great potential for generating wind power.
Green energy developments within all five precincts will now be considered priority projects, with plans streamlined to shorten approval processes.
