A 58-year-old man has been charged over the sexual assault of a teenage boy at Lake Macquarie in 2006.
The man was arrested at Bathurst on Wednesday, in relation to the assault which occurred at Cardiff.
Police will allege the man forced a 15-year-old into a public toilet cubicle in the early hours of July 30, and sexually and indecently assaulted him.
Detectives making a breakthrough on the case earlier this year, when a forensic match was discovered.
The man will face Bathurst Local Court next Tuesday.
