A 30-year-old Bella Vista man has been fined and had his licence suspended, after police allegedly clocked his high performance car at speeds of up to 117km an hour in a 60km zone at Coffs Harbour.
Just before 8:30am today, police detected a white Audi R8 sports car speeding on the Pacific Highway and Englands Road.
Highway Patrol officers stopped the car and issued the driver with a traffic infringement notice. His licence was also suspended and his registration plates confiscated.
Double demerit points are in place over the holiday period.
