ORGAN DONORS HONOURED IN COFFS HARBOUR

It was a celebration of life at the Coffs Harbour Botanical Gardens as a “thank you” rose was planted for Organ donors.

Local politicians gathered alongside donors, recipients, and their families to celebrate Donate Life week.

Donation rates sit at just 34 per cent across the country and Margaret Crawley knows the importance of signing up, having donated a kidney to her daughter.

“I would really recommend to people please be a donor and see the person in your life just enjoy life along with you.”

69,000 North Coast residents are registered.
