A man in his 30’s has suffered severe burns, following a gas explosion at a butcher shop in Boggabri.
Fire fighters say around 8:30 last night, the man attempted to light a smoking oven, when the gas ignited.
The man suffered burns to his face, chest, stomach and thighs.
He was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for treatment.
