VTEC TO PROVIDE 200 GUARANTEED INDIGENOUS JOBS
A new Vocational Training and Employment Centre is set to create more than 200 jobs for indigenous job seekers in the New England region.
The centre will be operated by the TAFE Western Institute, and is targeted at those who’ve completed job-specific training in areas such as transport and agriculture.
“Make sure we can do whatever we can to get young kids employed and to get people who are coming out of school employed so that they can have the structure in their life that gives you that satisfaction of saying I’m at work.”
Towns that will benefit from the Federal Government initiative, include the Liverpool Plains, Glen Innes, Inverell, Uralla and Guyra.
