Police have allegedly uncovered a clandestine methamphetamine lab during a raid on a North Casino home.
Detectives allegedly made the discovery early on Tuesday morning and called in the Chemical Operations Unit from Sydney to assist in the investigation.
“We resumed the search on wednesday morning with the HAZMAT teams in place, once that area was secured and the dangerous chemicals isolated we processed the scene.”
A 35-year-old man and 30-year-old woman have been charged with possessing a prohibited drug and possessing instructions to manufacture methamphetamine.
Both will appear in Lismore Local Court later next month.
