WORKING CONDITIONS BLAMED FOR SUICIDES

The inquest into the suicides of three Tamworth men in an eight-month period has ruled medical staff were overworked, and did not have enough time to complete their duties properly.

The men died in, or shortly after being discharged from, the city’s mental health unit, run by Hunter New England Health.

The findings will go to the Director General of Health, to consider statewide changes to mental health services.
