LOCAL CRICKETERS GO NATIONAL

And some of the regions best known cricketers will take to the national stage this summer.

Cricket identities Mike Cashman, Doug Truman, Doug Crowell and Graeme Andrews have been selected to play for New South Wales in an over 60s tournament in Melbourne.

Today Cashman was unfazed by the honour, but admitted it will be difficult backing up for the local league.

He said that’s going to be my big problem because i’m going to have eight games in nine days, that’s with grade cricket in tamworth on the saturday and also playing the pub cricket on the Sunday, so five games in Melbourne as well, sandwiched in between that it’s going to be a big ask.
