MAN FLOWN TO HOSPITAL AFTER HEAD ON CAR CRASH
A 23-year-old man from Alstonville is undergoing surgery after a head on collision in Tintenbar this morning.
At around 6am this morning a Holden Commodore and Nissan Ute collided on Tintenbar Road.
The man was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour and a half before being airlifted in the Westpac Helicopter to Lismore Base Hospital.
He suffered multiple leg fractures, pelvic fractures and possible head injuries.
A 59-year-old Lennox Head man, driving the Nissan, suffered serious but non-life threatening hip and ankle injuires, suspected head injuries.
Tintenbar Road was closed for about 2 and a half hours.
